The early weeks after the birth of a new baby should be a time of joy and wonderment, but can also be a steep learning curve clouded by doubt and anxiety. We all know how much conflicting advice is offered from doctors, friends, family and the media and it can sometimes feel difficult to listen to your parenting instincts.
Following the birth of your baby I can offer postnatal support. This can cover many aspects such as birth de-briefing, baby care, baby massage, baby wearing (slings), feeding support and coping with crying.

I will offer emotional support, empathy and companionship as well as un-biased, up to date information to help you make informed decisions about the care of your new baby.
This support is equally important for both the mother and her parnter.

I am certified by Peter Walker to teach Developmental Baby Massage, which is a wonderfully way to increase levels of confidence and trust between the parent and baby. Partners often enjoy baby massage, as it gives an opportunity to develop real closeness, whilst giving the mother a chance to rest. If you wish, I can support you with the gentle massage that is suitable for a new baby, whilst guiding you on some techniques that your baby will soon “grow into".
